Our work

Deep learning-based models represent a tool for the analysis of histology, natural language, and molecular data to which pathologists have never before had access. The Williamson Lab studies and uses these tools to better understand disease. Our hypothesis is that this improved understanding can lead to better diagnoses, better treatment strategies, and better outcomes for patients.

Areas of special interest

1.

Integrating the highly-multimodal data naturally produced and consumed in the clinical practice of Pathology.

2.

Predicting treatment response using pathology images, clinical data, and multi-’omics.

3.

Answering fundamental questions regarding clinical implementation of AI models in Pathology.

4.

Analyzing bias and fairness in models being clinically deployed.
